Kandinsky Trees
I hope everyone is having a fantastic break and getting all geared up to come back to school next week :) Our last term together! :( and its going to be a very busy one.
I went into class this week and had to share the children's amazing art work that I finished putting up. I am in love with all of these and they look so good on the wall. So please pop in and check them out!
We looked at the artist Kandinsky and created these trees. We drew the tree outline first in pencil then carefully went over it with black vivid. Children then used coloured paper and worked so hard cutting out small, medium and large shapes and putting them together to make just one leaf! These have taken a lot of time to complete but have so been worth it.

Symmetry
Students looked at symmetry this week and we created some lovely symmetrical butterflies during maths time. This then got us thinking about creating symmetrical butterflies in art.
Here is room 5 creating their symmetrical butterflies.
